If my polarity reversal signal don't get through, I can count on my vacum tube cams catching the perp on the Beta that doubles as a elevator counterweight. Besides, the salesman said barrel keys are harder to get then ADT's contract honestly described.

Even though it is not as old as the systems in the original post link, I still use the MPI-50 from late 80's era at home & still a loyal workhorse! ;) The Moose MPI 25 & 50 were known as the 'standard of the industry' back in the day! 8)
