Napco P1632 Chime trouble

OK I have the P1632 when Pressing function till it gets to Activate Chime Y/N when I hit yes nothing happens.  I understand when active it when going to the same spot it would say Deactivate Chime Y/N   I have it coded with dealer code to chime on door zones only 0506 or 0509 can not remember.  I also have on 0520 (7) showing on.   I really do not want to do a hard reset if I am missing something that is not allowing chime to work in direct address coding.

 To be absolutely sure, you need to get into dealer programming, in feature view and see what zones are set for chime. Chime is 0509 in direct address programming, also check the time it is supposed to stay on for.

0716 was set to 0000  once I changed it to 0004 we are good to go.

wow!  programming a Gemini larger than an 801 via the keypad with no laptop and software??  gutsy   ;)

If you can get the PCI-Mini cable (I think they run about $20-$30) you'll find that the software is considerably easier, especially with zone feature programming!
