Quickloader Downloads
(1/1)
Mikealarm:
There has been a lot of questions regarding local downloading using Quickloader software for Napco panels, all Napco panels can be locally downloaded by using the JP2 local download connection, or by the PCL 2000. To connect by using the PCL 2000, you need to use the remote connection, with one side to a recommended modem and to the other side using telco ring and tip in the panel, when tone starts power panel up with battery, or by keypad function-download with a keypad establish connection.
Mikealarm:
Anybody that is interested in using Quickloader software to locally download their panel can get it on ebay.
Magnum Alert:
just a note, you must know the dealer code on all MA, GEM-P800, 801, 816, and 1632 panels in order to connect. on larger panels, you must know the 6-digit "master security code" which is printed on a white label and stuck to the CPU chip housing (it's different for each panel). Without this code, you cannot connect.
For 816, 1632, 3200, and 9600 panels all you need is the PCI-Mini cable and the Quickloader software, no modem is needed. This is also the case for the MA3000 panels. The MA2600s need the older DOS-based software. just build the account, enter the code, and hit the local connect button. takes a second to upload.
For older MA panels like the 1008e, 1016, etc; and the small GEM-P800 and P801, you need a compatible serial modem and the PCL-2000 cable. Connect the modem to your computer, connect the PCL cable to the modem and to the panel's phone terminals and to the panel's 12V aux power, establish a local connection in the software, then arm and disarm the panel and press function-6 on P800/P801, or press and hold the 6 key on MA panels. you'll hear a few chirps and the connection will establish. If you can't arm and disarm the panel (no user code known, etc), establish the connection in the software, then power the panel down, and back up, and it will connect.
For the P800s and P801s, those panels are so easy to program at the keypad that I wouldn't waste my time doing all this.
