IP and PoE over Coax

With technology changes within the security industry it seems IP cameras are becoming more the norm. One of the biggest hurdles in retrofitting analog cameras to IP is the cabling infrustructer cost associated with the technology upgrade. Nitek has been manufacturing Network and Ethernet extending equipment for the past 5 years. At ISC-West this year we introdcuced a very unique IP and PoE extender that operates over coaxial cable.

EL1500C IP over Coax network extender-PoE Inserter (EtherStretch) transmits IP over coax and can quickly turn any ordinary RG59U coaxial cable into a high speed network communication & PoE path. When operating over RG59U coaxial cable, the coax network extender system can operate for distances of up to 500 meters (1,640 feet). The EL1500C coax network extender system consists of a transmitter and a receiver set, which requires very little installation time & absolutely no set up or configuration. The The EL1500C coax ethernet network extender transmitter and receiver are transparent to the network and have no IP or MAC addressing.
