GE Simon 60-875 Security System, suck in Armed mode
« on: October 14, 2010, 08:38:03 AM »
Hello everyone!

I moved into my house 4 years ago and there was this old GE Simon 60-875-11-3 security system from ADT. I recently turned it on and it started the alarm and it keeps asking for access code. I do not kn ow what that would be. I called ADT and they refused to help me. I dont want the monitoring, i only want the alarm to go off when someone opens the doors.

Is there a reset code or factory default? I dont know what to do. Please help.

thanks,

Don't expect any help from A**, unless you're ready to pay them some
major money.

"Suck" is correct.  ;D

[It is not my intention to make you give up completely...someone else who
knows about GE Simon will probably comment].

Here is the simple version of panel default.
Reset Memory to the Factory Defaults
If it becomes necessary to set all programming back
to the factory defaults, do the following:
1. Open the Control Panel cover.
2. Unplug the transformer and the battery.
3. Simultaneously press Cancel, Clock Set, and
Minutes.
4. Restore power to the panel with either the battery
or the transformer while pressing these three buttons.
5. Plug in the transformer or connect the battery.
NOTE: If Phone Lock is on, options 04, 05, 06, 08, 09,
12, and 13 will not reset to their defaults.
Other than that try to find a Simon 3 Install manual.

That's the problem....you can't reset anything for programming, unless you know the
current "installer" code, or if there is another way to default the code.
