Ademco 6673

I have an older Ademco M6673 keypad with a Vista 10-SE unit. I need a new keypad.
What can I buy to replace the old M6673 keypad? It looks like I just pull out the wire pin to disconnect/reconnect.
Is it as simple as that? Will I have to reprogram the new keypad?
How do I power down the unit to do all of this?

a 6148 or a 6150 will work on your system, but the new keypad will not use the plug from the old one, it has terminal screws, so you will have to cut off the plug and wire it direct. (it tell you what wires goes where) the new keypad will already be defaulted to address 31, so you wont have to change it, and i recommend you power down, to do this, find the transformer and unplug it. (tan, plugged in probably somewhere near the control panel) and then disconnect the battery inside the control panel.
